Set just outside the bustling CBD, the Durban office of Vela VKE employs around 70 staff members who are experts in their field.  We have considerable expertise in road design, transportation, bridge design, municipal services, institutional support, public/private partnership facilitation and construction management.

Office Head - Mr Dawie Erasmus

The Durban office is headed by Dawie Erasmus (BSc, Civil Engineering, University of Natal; GDE, University of Natal) who has 27 years experience in Civil Engineering and Management projects.  Dawie is registered as a Professional Engineer with the Engineering Council of South Africa and a Professional Construction Project Manager with the South African Council for the Project and Construction Management Professions.  Dawie oversees the Transport division and enjoys outdoor recreation, painting and classic car restoration.
